Muay Thai Kickboxing

Muay Thai is a traditional Martial Art and the national sport of Thailand. It is known as the “Art of Eight Limbs” because you learn to use your left and right; hands, feet, elbows and knees as tools that you could use to defend yourself or your loved ones. Not only is Muay Thai an extremely effective form of self-defense but it is also a great way to get in shape, stay healthy and for building your confidence and self esteem.
Why You Should Learn Muay Thai?
Muay Thai training offers students of all ages a great way for getting in shape, developing discipline and focus. You will develop your cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility. You will start seeing results immediately in how you think and feel.
What You Will Learn?

Once you learn the basics, you will learn a variety of different combinations that are broken up into beginner, intermediate and advanced level combinations. They are a great way to work on your eye hand coordination, power, balance, speed, timing and focus.
From the basics and combinations students learn how to spar and do clinch work. Sparring is when you and a partner practice all the techniques you have learned so far with each other while moving, attacking, defending and countering. Though sparring is one of the most important skills a Muay Thai student can learn, it can also be one of the scariest too.
What truly separates our school from other Muay Thai Schools is how we teach sparring and clinching. We teach sparring and clinching in a step by step, safe and progressive manner that will build your confidence, increase your current level of skills and that builds trust between you and your training partner where safety and control is mandatory.

Muay Thai (Muay Thai Kickboxing or Thai Boxing) originated in Siam, which is now known as Thailand. It’s history dates back thousands of years. It’s exact beginnings are obscured in legend, it is unclear as to how long Muay Thai has been in existence. Early records indicate that Buddhist Monks prepared students to become bodyguards for the royal family. Frequently, fights between different camps were staged for the royal court to determine selection into the guard.
Muay Thai was renowned in ancient times for it’s use by the Thai Warriors in their efforts to make Thailand a free and independent country. The art has been passed down from generation to generation and is considered a vital part of Thai Culture. Muay Thai emphasizes a calm mind, strong self-discipline, gentleness and gratitude; in short the overall improvement of the character of the practitioner.
Muay Thai differs from other modern Martial Arts like Tae Kwon Do, Karate and Kung Fu. One of the main differences is that all techniques are delivered with full power and without holding back on a variety of equipment like; thai pads, punching bags, focus mitts and kicking shields. Not only does hitting a target full strength develop power but it is also a fun and safe way to relieve everyday stress from work or school.
